1/10/2018 Fox Chase HOA Meeting

Members of the Penn-Tammany Greenway Coalition were invited to make a presentation on the progress of the project and answer questions from the 50 participants. Philadelphia has allocated funding to complete the connection to the Fox Chase Train Station, which will provide a valuable connection for bicycle commuters! Way to go Philly!

Bryn Athyn Train Crash Memorial Site

On December 2, 2017 Members of the Montgomery County Historical Interpretive Committee gathered with over 50 members of the public for the dedication of the 1921 Bryn Athyn Train Crash Memorial Site. The Penn-Tammany Greenway Coalition provided a bench and valuable input for the project. Thank You to our sponsors: Carr and Duff, Inc. and Mignatti Companies!

April 4th Board Meeting Cancelled

The board meeting set for 7:00 on Monday, April 11th at the Northampton Library has been cancelled.

The next board meeting will be held on Monday, May 9th at 7:00 at the Northampton Library.

Penn-Tammany Greenway Coalition Obtains 501 (c)(3) status

We received our letter of approval from the IRS on 6/11/2014.  Our effective date is 3/22/2013.  We are so pleased that we may raise funds to assist local Municipalities and Counties in building the trail and providing trail related amenities that will help improve our communities!

"All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law."  Thank you to all our supporters!

MontCo. Breaks Ground

Montgomery County Commissioners and representatives from local municipalities gathered on June 6, 2014 to break ground on the remainder of the Pennypack Trail.  The Pennypack Trail in Lorimer Park will continue South to Rockledge Community Park and North to Mason's Mill Park creating a unified and interconnected trail by the Fall of 2015!

Non-Profit Meeting

October 23, 2012 (7:00pm): Please join us as we take our initial steps to establish our non-profit group.

 

The following items will be discussed at the meeting.

1) Revise goals for non-profit

2) Revise our mission statement

3) Form a Board of Directors and accept nominations (required for application of 501(c)(3))

4) Elect officers and accept nominations

PA State Representative Scott Petri

Several members of our group were priveledged to meet with Representative Petri on July 24, 2012.  Rep. Petri was receptive and supportive of our mission and encouraged us to move forward with our endeavor.  We thank Representative Petri for his time and guidance.

SEPTA

Recent conversations with SEPTA suggest that they are amenable to the use of an additional (Pennypack Trail currently functions as a recreational trail) portion of the Fox Chase - Newtown line as a recreational trail.  We are gaining support from residents in both Upper Southampton and Northampton Townships.  Thank you to all that have helped thus far and we look forward to your continued support.
